I just got my tickets for four of this summer's plays--we'll be enjoying Macbeth, Love's Labour's Lost, The Three Musketeers (not Shakespeare, of course, but it looks like an excellent production), and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), which is one night only (August 11): http://www.coloradoshakes.org/ We're skipping Henry VIII--I haven't read it or seen it yet, and I've heard it's one of the weaker plays anyway.
The Colorado Shakespeare Festival at the University of Colorado campus in Boulder is one of my all-time favorite summer activities. From the picnic on the lawn before the play, to wearing trash bags during the occasional downpour, to marvelling at how good the plays are, year in and year out, the whole experience is always fun.
The CSF is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and we've been regulars for the past twenty years, only missing a couple of years in their when their schedule and ours just didn't mesh.
