Simon Schamma wrote and narrated the documentary, and so far so good. Part I took us from prehistoric Britain to just before the Norman invasion. Main thing I learned? I've got to get to Orkney and visit the neolithic sites.
Gotcha? I got this for my mother a few months ago, and she asked me to check it out as the second and fifth DVDs seem to not work in her machine. So I may be hooked, and end up frustrated by technology. If it is as good as I expect, I'll figure out a way to replace the damaged DVDs.
