I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to get it done this year. Hopefully next year will work out for me.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17786139533776263328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-180207633612917342013-08-12T11:53:27.468-06:002013-08-12T11:53:27.468-06:00I'm familiar with the story but have never rea...I'm familiar with the story but have never read the book. The musical version of Jekyll and Hyde that was on Broadway is one of my favorite adaptations. And I have to admit, I prefer Dr. Jekyll to Dr. Frankenstein.Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-88781654253641285802013-08-12T02:23:48.834-06:002013-08-12T02:23:48.834-06:00Interesting questions as to why this kind of think...Interesting questions as to why this kind of thinking was so prevalent in the 19th century. One wonders why this theme of the dissociated self or the doppelganger was so prevalent--must say a lot about the tensions in the British psyche of the nineteenth century. It was just ripe for Freud to come along at the turn of the century with his Interpretation of Dreams.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00187517182328614133noreply@blogger.com
