I saw places like that actually marked on the map of the walking routes at the Visit Hadrian's Wall website! Glad you are mentioning the bird sightings--I know I would do that too in a new place, since I am still excited even by seeing common backyard birds, and I've kept a life list of birds seen here in New Jersey.
I also enjoyed the Cathedral photos and your perceptive comment about whispering in sacred places. In fact, one might even guage the sacredness of old places (such as Stonehenge or New Grange) as well as new by the strength of that urge to whisper and be reverent before something of spiritual significance for people long passed on.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00187517182328614133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-433243371434226302017-07-14T04:28:41.952-06:002017-07-14T04:28:41.952-06:00Thanks for the update and photos... keep them comi...Thanks for the update and photos... keep them coming!! :)JoAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13691864361197071517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-38976121919935921252017-07-14T02:51:00.099-06:002017-07-14T02:51:00.099-06:00It looks and sounds like you are having such a gre...It looks and sounds like you are having such a great trek.

Carlisle looks like such a great place to explore. castles and similar structures are so interesting.

Brian Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15139559400312336791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-21381028354184181682017-07-13T16:43:17.667-06:002017-07-13T16:43:17.667-06:00Great report.
