He is in 8 episodes (per IMDB).AprilFoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17420284866307722243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-61684543980037711992014-01-13T06:33:35.588-07:002014-01-13T06:33:35.588-07:00You've convinced me, Pickwick will definitely ...You've convinced me, Pickwick will definitely be my next Dickens. My library has a good audio version as well, so that's another plus. Sounds like a great listen for my daily commute to work. Interesting about the duality of the characters Wisdom and innocence are concepts that though some consider opposites, have an important, and sometimes odd relationships in our personalities.

Dickens is likely a good choice for an audiobook. I have heard that the author professed that his books were best taken in when read aloud.

I love the liquor container too!

Brian Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15139559400312336791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-18893163791315304112014-01-12T22:47:49.978-07:002014-01-12T22:47:49.978-07:00Finally reading Little Women reminded me how much ...Finally reading Little Women reminded me how much I loved Pickwick--it's also mentioned by Phil in Anne of the Island :)JaneGShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11094501834387622997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15714418.post-3853940073534865912014-01-12T19:50:08.286-07:002014-01-12T19:50:08.286-07:00It's hard for me to remember now, but I used t...It's hard for me to remember now, but I used to be intimidated by the Victorians. This was the first of Dickens' books that I read (not counting A Christmas Carol), and I enjoyed it so much that it gave me the confidence to try his other novels - and now I consider myself an addict of that era's books! I always think of this one with Little Women, because it plays such a big part in the March girls' lives.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782561487396697870noreply@blogger.com
